located at the center of brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood,
60 water is a 17-storey apartment building designed by leeser architecture and
developed by two trees management. situated next to the famous brooklyn bridge,
the scheme offers impressive views across the east river towards lower
manhattan.
the building is topped with an accessible 6,000 square foot roof garden
designed by james corner field operations. in developing the scheme the design
team sought to incorporate many of the same elements and plant life found at
the high line, (a project they also helped landscape), including angled
walkways, open viewing areas, and oversized wooden lounge chairs. the building
opened just under a year ago, and is currently 85% leased.
